SHOWS 2026

We have two shows this year, one from Folk from the Fold and the other from Gill and Barry Goodman.

Mucky Boots, Maps and Midges

Saturday 11.00-1200 in The Star Upstairs
FOLK FROM THE FOLD present “Mucky Boots, Maps and Midges”- the story of our ‘right to roam’ and the joys, or otherwise, of walking in our beautiful countryside. A spin off from the much-loved Fold Theatre, this smaller ensemble features Eileen and Eric Payne, Julia Davies, Jim Preston and Barry Walmsley. Together they have created a musical tour of our wonderful Countryside. There is history, humour and beautifully interwoven songs and music which enhance the narrative. An uplifting and heartwarming performance ……you will definitely want to dust off those hiking boots after you have seen this! A highlight not to be missed!

Down the Canal

Friday 8.00-9.00 in the Baptist Hall
The story of Britain’s canals in words, pictures and song presented by Gill and Barry Goodman. A look into the history of Britain’s canals – the builders, the life of the working community, the decline of the working boats and the revival of the waterways in recent times, illustrated with photographs, archive pictures, music and songs.
